Final numbers from the Shred for Hunger campaign
Last November, BEST Shredding launched its annual “Shred for Hunger” campaign, where we donate $0.01 for each pound of paper we shred to local Food Banks in Western Canada.
We are pleased to announce that this year we raised $4,946 for local Food Banks! Here is the breakdown for each of the communities we serve:
Vancouver: 81,417 lbs
Victoria: 101,082 lbs
Edmonton: 52,603 lbs
Red Deer: 183,332 lbs
Calgary: 76,148 lbs
Currently, 863,000 Canadians use the Food Bank each month. Many Food Banks estimate that every $1 donated equals $5 worth of food that can be distributed to families in need.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in this amazing cause!
