Nanaimo and District Crime Stoppers Shredding Day is Back!
The Nanaimo & District Crime Stoppers in partnership with Save On Foods, Brooks Landing and BEST Shredding, is pleased to host a day of confidential document shredding day. The event is set for Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 10 am to 4 pm, at Brooks Landing Save On Foods, located at 2000 Island Highway, Nanaimo.
For a minimum donation of $20, your personal and commercial documents will be shredded by highly skilled and personable employees of BEST Shredding, a Vancouver Island-based confidential document shredding company. While you wait for your documents to be shredded, please help yourself to a scrumptious hamburger or hotdog, grilled to perfection by volunteers with the local Crime Stoppers program and the Nanaimo RCMP Victim Services. All products provided for the barbeque are graciously provided by Save On Foods, a long-time supporter of Crime Stoppers in Nanaimo.
“Crime Stoppers is a registered non-profit organization that does not receive any form of government funding, is not a policy-based organization and is run by community-minded volunteers. These events and other fundraisers, are essential to the success of our programs,” said Constable Gary O’Brien, Crime Stoppers Coordinator. Shredding confidential documents significantly reduces your chances of becoming a victim of identity theft, which can destroy you financially, wipe out your good credit and take years to recoup your financial and personal losses.
The Nanaimo and District Crime Stoppers hopes to see you on March 2nd, rain or shine. If you have any questions about this event, please contact Constable Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP at 250-755-3257.
