Support your Community Through our Community Shredding Event
Would you like to become a force for good in your community? Do you want to make a major impact in other people’s lives?
If so, you’re invited to join BEST Shredding as we participate in another Broadmead Care’s Summer Shred-A-Thon, happening this Saturday, August 14. This event will take place at the south end of the Veterans Memorial Lodge parking lot at 4579 Chatterton Way in Victoria, from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
By participating in Broadmead Care’s Summer Shred-A-Thon, you will be supporting adults aged 19 to 55 who require long-term care services at Broadmead Care Nigel House Care Home. Nigel House is a community in which all residents experience a sense of belonging, respect, and acceptance, and are provided with opportunities to live their lives as fully as possible. Your donation will provide vital funding for equipment including slings, fall mats, and soft call bells.
To do you part in helping this essential community cause, all you have to do is bring your old paper documents to be safely shredded by BEST Shredding. We’ll be following COVID-19 protocols by requiring every attendee to wear a facemask when waiting inside their vehicles to drop-off the paper. There will be two options available for drop-off; either you can pull up to our drop zone and unload your boxes, or you can ask for volunteers to help you unload your boxes into the drop zone while you remain inside the vehicle (for this option, we ask that you arrive onsite with all boxes in the rear end of your vehicle).
The suggested donation is $10 per banker box, and we will accept payment with a Square contactless tap reader for credit card or debit card transactions. A collection bin will be available to drop cash and cheque payments.
For an easier and quicker payment option, you can also pre-pay for your banker boxes and present your online receipt on the day-of.
