Shred for Hunger: Final Numbers
In November of 2020, BEST Shredding once again launched our annual Shred for Hunger Campaign in support of local Food Banks. For every pound of paper we shredded during that month, we donated $0.01 to local Food Banks.
Given the new reality of COVID-19, the Food Banks are facing challenges with fundraising and donations. That is why we decided to extend the Shred for Hunger Campaign until the end of December.
We are pleased to announce that we shredded 663,428 lbs., raising $6,634 for the Food Banks, exceeding our previous year’s contribution! Here is the breakdown by location:
The Shred for Hunger Campaign also attracted supporters, such as our janitorial partner Bunzl Cleaning & Hygiene, who donated $250 to both the Edmonton and Calgary Food Banks.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this amazing cause!
