Increasing Cyber Safety & Giving Back to the Community

Thursday October 23rd BEST Shredding participated in a community shredding event in West Shore, Vancouver Island. The “Be Cyber Safe” event taught community members how to spot and avoid online scams viruses, phishing attempts, and gave tips on understanding the power of social media and protecting your online footprint.

BEST Shredding was on site and shredded over sixty pounds of confidential documents that were brought in by community members. Since the shredding was by donation, the community was able to raise fund for the local food bank and many community members also donated food.

We are excited to participate in events that not only strengthen the community, they bring awareness about information and personal security.
