At BEST Shredding we believe that success is only possible if our team members are well trained, dependable, knowledgeable, and prepared to do the high security work that is required. BEST Shredding’s Security Tech Account Representatives (S.T.A.R.’s) are fully trained, NAID Certified, and equipped to manage all your privacy protection needs. When adding members to our team and throughout their time with BEST, we require the following:
- Criminal record background check (renewed every 3 years)
- 7 year employment verification
- Confidentiality agreement
- Annual drug and alcohol abuse awareness training
BEST Shredding team members go through the NAID Access Person Training Program. This training is for NAID AAA certified providers whose employees have access to sensitive information. In order to pass the course, each team member must score with an 85% or higher grade. In addition to NAID training, additional Security Tech Account Representative (STAR) Training was created for our new STAR’s upon hire and goes through all company polices, equipment operations, maintenance, NAID policies, handheld functions and is followed up with multiple tests and a final exam. Our new STAR’s go through a 30 day training period where they are supervised by a trainer at all times.
